This is an easy recipe, and valid for all phases of the diet, but you have to be patient since it is best made the night before.
Ingredients
- 3 cups of non-fat milk
- 1/2 tsp agar-agar
- 1 1/2 tsp liquid Hermestas
- 4 egg yolks
- 10 drops caramel extract *
- pour the cold milk into a sauce pan
- add the agar-agar and stir well and let rest for 15 mins
- add the Hermestas
- beat the egg yolks in a separate bowl
- brink milk to a boil and wait 1 minute
- add roughly 1 cup of the hot milk to the egg yolks and stir
- return the egg/milk combination to the sauce pan and, stirring constantly, boil for another two minutes
- add the caramel extract
- pour into cups and let cool
- when at room temperature, put in the refrigerator to set over night
This is very light. I might try to make it more custardy by reducing the milk next time.
